Are you passionate about animal welfare and ready to lead a fun, friendly team? Kew Little Pigs, the UK’s leading ethical breeder of miniature pigs, is looking for a dedicated Farm Supervisor to join our award-winning team!
As our new Farm Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of daily operations, ensuring our animals receive the best care while managing a fantastic team. This is a dynamic role, combining both office and farm work, with a strong emphasis on leadership, planning, and reporting.
Salary: £28,000 per annum (Full Time including some weekend work)
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Planning & Team Management: Create daily planning sheets, delegate tasks, organise tours, and manage staff lunches.
Staff Meetings: Lead morning meetings to review plans, discuss updates, and ensure smooth operations.
Student & Volunteer Management: Handle student inquiries, manage bookings, prepare induction packs, and organize inductions.
Animal Welfare: Ensure pigs are fed properly, update feeding guides, and regularly check the farm’s animal welfare.
Event Management: Assist with planning and organizing events, selecting pigs to take, and promoting the farm's upcoming events.
Farm Checks & Maintenance: Regularly inspect the farm for any issues or maintenance needs and report them to management.
Content Creation: Help grow our social media presence by creating engaging TikTok content, including weekly live sessions.
Customer Service: Handle any customer concerns while on-site and ensure a great experience for all visitors.
Reporting: Complete daily reports over the weekend, and send a weekly report to management.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Must be over 25 with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in animal care and staff management.
Skills: Microsoft Word and computer literacy for planning, reporting, and communications.
Driving License: A valid driving license is required.
Passion for Animals: A deep commitment to animal welfare and ensuring the highest standards of care.
Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills to manage both staff and students effectively.
