Jill farrowed eight perfect piglets in the early hours of Tuesday 16th February - 5 boys and 3 girls.
Jill is a very experienced sow, this is her eighth litter, and she's yet again being a brilliant mother to her little ones!
All of the piglets have already been sold, except 2 of the boys who are still looking for their forever home...look how cute they are in the photos below! These piglets will be ready to go to their new homes from 12th April!
We are also expecting THREE more litters in May!
Daisy and Simone, who are experienced sows, and first-time mum Squeaks (who has also recently been made adoptable) are all in pig.
We are now taking new bookings from 1st April onwards - you can book in via our website!
We have been working hard making improvements to the farm ready for our reopening. We now have FOUR petting pens and have built rustic log benches in the pens for you to enjoy. Thank you to our two new brilliant volunteers, Jenny and Pete, for all your help. There are a few volunteering slots still available so please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to help out!
This week cameras have been installed across the farm and even inside the pig huts, so we can live stream piggy cuteness straight to your screen...stay tuned for more information!
We are expecting to be very busy this summer so make sure to book in early. The pigs can't wait to welcome you back!
CONGRATULATIONS to Merissa for guessing the exact due date, litter size and number of each sex!
Thank you to everyone for entering....we are expecting more litters in May, so make sure to enter again for a chance to win a Bronze Adoption Package including a visit to the farm for 2 and quarterly newsletters.
Don't forget to tune into our Saturday Live at 11am on Facebook this week to see how the new piglets are settling in!
This will also be posted onInstagramandYouTube, so please follow and subscribe if you haven't already.
Check out the winning entry for our DESIGN A PIG competition. Thank you Michelle for this beautiful drawing - we love it! Two KLP storybooks and a jumper have been sent Michelle's way...
A PIG thank you to those that have donated so far! We are still far from hitting our target of £2000 by 1st April, so if you are in a position to help, we would be very grateful.
The farm has now been closed for months so every little bit of support has made all the difference. All funds raised go towards providing breeder pellets, potbellied pig feed, carrots, apples, bananas, hay, straw and not forgetting the goats' and chickens' feed.
Thank you to our amazing followers for the comments and messages we receive daily, they have really helped us through these difficult times and we're looking forward to seeing you at the farm hopefully very soon!
