We are over the moon to have won the award for Best Woman In Animal Services at the prestigious Best Business Women Awards on Friday night!
Swapping wellies for heels, Olivia and the team attended the glamorous award ceremony in London, as finalists for not just one, but three categories: Best Business Woman, Most Inspiring Business Woman and Best Woman In Animal Services.
It was an inspiring evening celebrating female entrepreneurs from all over the world, organised by the brilliant Debbie Gilbert, and after excitedly sitting on the edges of our seats, we were delighted to hear our name called out by Lorraine Thomas as the 2021 Gold Award Winner for Best Woman In Animal Services!
Selected by a panel of business experts, Olivia was recognised for leaving "no stone unturned in her goals to grow her business, identifying new avenues for growth and adopting unusual marketing tactics to get noticed."
After reviewing our entry, the judges commented how Kew Little Pigs was "a very diverse and individual business run by an exceptional business woman. Her passion for pigs is formidable."
With a record year last year, despite the difficulties from COVID, we were eager to share our journey from Olivia's back garden in Kew to our current 3.6 acre farm in Amersham. We are now celebrating our 11th year, and it really feels like it's only just the beginning! Our brand new gift shop and cafe opening any minute now will be a true piggy paradise full of an extensive range of goodies, our re-designed website will be launching soon showcasing our restructured experiences and we cannot wait to reveal an innovative business venture that we've been busy with behind the scenes.
Olivia said "I am absolutely over the moon about this award. It really has been an incredible journey and a lot of hard work, but I'm so proud of Kew Little Pigs, and the whole team too.
"We love pigs and care about their welfare and hope that shines through in all that we do, but it is moments like this that help us realise that our message is working."
