A miniature pig is for life, not just for Christmas!
2020 has been the year of the piglets at the Kew Little Pigs farm! Seven litters of piglets have been born on our farm – the most piglets we have ever had in one year. Our experienced sow, Jill, even beat the KLP record in litter size with 11 piglets in one litter!
Similarly to the huge rise in demand for dogs this year, the demand for our miniature pigs as pets has also increased, with many of our piglets sold before they were even been born. Pigs are affectionate, easy to train and make lovely companions. If you’re interested in owning a pet micro pig, please fill in our enquiry form and we will get in touch. We take time getting to know potential new pig owners to ensure our miniature pigs go to five-star families who are prepared to give their pet pig the best of care throughout their lives (they can live up to 15 – 20 years)!
For new pig owners, we offer our Comprehensive Guide to Pig Keeping Course to teach them all about the responsibilities and requirements for keeping pigs. The course aims to educate attendees about the process of keeping a pig, legalities, diet, husbandry, and day to day care. It's a great insight into owning a pet pig and sets our customers up well for their new member of the family.
In January 2021, we are offering this 2 hour course for FREE (normally priced at £72 per person) so if you’re considering owning a micro pig, make sure to book in before the offer ends!
With their loving and gentle nature, miniature pigs make wonderful pets for families, schools, and small petting farms. The cost to keep them is relatively low compared to domesticated pets and they have hair, not fur so they make excellent pets for those with allergies! The list could go on about why we think miniature pigs are brilliant pets and we’d be more than happy to chat with you further about owning your very own miniature pig, so please do get in touch!
