Business Development Manager
To work directly with the owner of Kew Little Pigs to help develop and grow the company. We are looking for a dedicated, loyal, and hardworking person to really help organise, strategise and assist in the continued success of the UK's most popular micro pig petting farm.
Aspects of the role are listed below, however are not limited to:
- Assisting accountant with monthly payroll
- Assist with HR policies and document control
- Health and safety policies and document control
- Planning/strategy for the company alongside Director
- Recruitment alongside Director
- Staff training, progression, and reviews
- Creating and implementing new training and policies
- Maintaining communication between office and farm staff. (Emails, Meetings, and notice board)
- General planning and running of the Office and Farm (Daily Checklists, Weekend planning alongside Farm Supervisor)
- After-sales / Customer service & Complaints alongside Director and Admin
- Merchandise - planning, ordering etc. alongside Director and Admin
- Weekly reports to include farm, shop, office, and management reports.
- Document upkeep and control alongside Admin
- Drive Cleaning alongside Admin
- Invoicing and general reports
There is room within this role to work into a Senior Management position with salary a increase.
Starting salary: between £28,000 - £30,000
Must have the following:
- Must have 3+ years of experience in business management.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Preferably but not essential experience with animals (training can be provided)
- Must have finance and business management skills.
- Must have experience managing teams of staff.
- Must have customer service experience.
- Must be local.

WEEKEND FARM HANDS
Role Type:
Permanent, but seasonal
We are looking for individuals with a can-do attitude. You must be confident, friendly, approachable, and physically able to keep up with a farming environment. We require enthusiastic animal lovers with the aptitude to care for our animals and the confidence to interact with the public and lead small tour groups.
- Genuine interest in animals and animal welfare is essential.
- Previous animal welfare/agricultural (or related) experience is desirable but not essential.
- Customer service experience is preferable but not essential.
- Driving licence is preferable but not essential.
- Cleaning and mucking out the animal enclosures to a high standard and following their specific diet plans to ensure they have all they need.
- Maintaining the farm and keeping work areas tidy and hygienic.
- Independently lead small tour groups around the farm.
- Willingness to assist customers in our shop area when required.
- Following planning & instructions from Management.
- Feeding animals.
- Reporting any issues with animals or customers to the manager (injuries, broken equipment etc.)
- Animal welfare checks.
- Grooming/bathing animals when required
- Assisting with the physical aspects of farm maintenance when required (moving wood chips & muck by wheelbarrow, digging wallows etc.)
- Animal handling
- Assisting with on-site and off-site events when required
- Shop re-stocking and cleaning
- Restocking feed bins etc.
- Assisting volunteers and work placements
- Watering plants and veggies
