Comprehensive Guide to Pig Keeping

 An in-depth 3-hour miniature pig course at award-winning Kew Little Pigs Farm in Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

This experience is a comprehensive guide to pig keeping covering Pig Husbandry and legality and ensures that you have the knowledge you need to be able to house, care for and enjoy owning your very own micro pig.

The course will last 3-hours, which will include:

✔ One-hour practical experience covering Pig Husbandry

✔ One-hour learning about the Responsibilities & Requirements for keeping pigs and learning about health & safety, equipment, behaviours, pig handling and much more.

✔ One-hour free time to enjoy playing with the pigs, getting to know them and even choosing your own pigs if you are ready.

On completion of the course you will receive:

✔ All relevant Animal Health & DEFRA Publications

✔ A Kew Little Pig Owners Guide

✔ A certificate of participation

A dedicated trained member of staff will be with you throughout your course and you will be emailed all the course documentation after the course.

We do not sell pigs to under 21's. Younger adults will need to attend the course with the adult purchaser.

What to Wear
Prepare to get messy! You won’t be able to resist petting and grooming our adorable pigs and piglets, so be sure to wear clothes that you are happy to get dirty and prepare for all weather. This experience will run come rain or shine!

You must wear closed shoes to participate, preferably wellies or waterproof shoes.
