PIGGY PLEASURE: Pigs are special guests at Chorleywood care home’s Christmas market

We're in My News Mag!

A Chorleywood care home recently played host to a Christmas market, complete with a special pig petting area.

On Friday, December 15, more than 10 local businesses and two very special porky guests from Amersham’s Kew Little Pigs came to Burford House, with traders selling items such as candyfloss, spa products, Christmas decorations and scarves.

Many guests came to enjoy the festivities, including Gagan Mohindra, MP for South West Hertfordshire; Ashish Patil, chairman of the Three Rivers Music Society; and Home Instead representative Scott Wright.

Kew Little Pigs set up in the car park entrance, with all visitors and residents given the chance to have their photo taken with the pigs.

Home manager Kyla said: “It’s been great to see so many people come to the Christmas market at Burford House Care Home. We wanted to support the local traders of the area, but also have some family fun for the local community. The day has been really exciting for the residents, team and families, and we hope the local community has enjoyed the day.”

Relative Lin said: ‘The Christmas fair seemed to go off well; it was a very jolly event. I particularly liked Kew Little Pigs!”
