Buckinghamshire Leaders dinner 2020 Business awards launch.
Kew Little Pigs were honoured to be a part of the Buckinghamshire Leaders dinner 2020 Business awards launch.
The evening was hosted at the magnificent Stoke Park luxury Country Club, Spa and Hotel.
The hotel is steeped in history dating back over 100 years, even Queen Elizabeth 1st has stayed.
The sheer grandeur of the hotel is apparent as soon as you step inside; beautiful marble arches and tasteful gold lamps in an art deco style.
On arrival we were treated to a prosecco reception and were encouraged to have a quick mingle before heading into the banquet room for a three course meal with guest speaker.
The staff that looked after us on the night were excellent, ensuring our glasses were topped up and food was bought out quickly.
We were treated to a Wild Pollen pan -fried Salmon starter, pan-fried Supreme of Duck for mains and a Baked Apple and Fig tart with Pear and Thyme sorbet for dessert.
The after dinner speaker was The countess Elizabeth Howe. It was a great honour to have her share her wealth and knowledge of business, offering invaluable advice about business and charity sectors in the community. One phrase that resonated with us was:
'A business that only makes money is a poor business'.
This feeds into our ethos here at KLP, we've worked tirelessly to create a business that is about the consumer experience, out reaching & travelling to those that can't to us - mention care homes, schools, charities.
She went on to highlight the effects of the recent outbreak of Coronavirus and the impact it will have on business. It was reassuring to know that we've got support during times of uncertainty
She finished her speech highlighting mental health and how it's becoming an ever growing topic for awareness in the workplace.
Her speech was informative and topical and we went away feeling supported and educated.
We now need to ensure we submit our application for the Business awards 2020
Wish us luck!
