Please see our simple steps below on how we import pigs:
When purchasing a micro pig from us, we will provide the neccessary paperwork required to be compliant with the Code of Recommendations and DEFRA
We complete the necessary application forms and certificates . This can be a lengthy process that will result in a certificate being issued, which a vet will have to sign before export.
An export approved official vet will come out to inspect the pigs’ health
We order a transport box from JCS Cargo that is compliant with Animals in transit guidelines.
Flights are booked by JCS Cargo
Pigs are then transported to Heathrow Airport and transported to the destination by our transporters JCS Cargo.
**You would need to contact your country of import to find out their regulations on importing**

Lisa & Mark Thomas, and their two children Olivia 13, and Oscar 7 from Worcestershire have welcomed Biscuit into their family.
We did a lot of research over a few years, and Kew Little Pigs were absolutely great. It was such a wonderful moment bringing her home to surprise my children Olivia and Oscar I went to get her while they were at school.
When they got home they came out onto the veranda and there she was, and Olivia just fell to her knees and cried, she picked Biscuit up and they hit it off straight away.
She has brought so much love and joy into our lives.
She sleeps in our house at night on her dog bed, and she has blankets in it for rooting a nuzzling. At night time she knows when it’s time to settle down. We have a pool in the garden and she goes in for a swim. She has her own pool float that she likes to sit on too.
David & Hilary Sansom, from Ibstock, Leics., recently adopted micro pigs Poppy and Polly.
People don't realise what amazing alternative pets pigs make. I think they are fantastic. They are so intelligent, and you can have real interactions with them.
They are actually very easy to look after, and very clean. People are coming around to thinking of them as pets a bit more and I think that is a really good thing.
Sam White & Emily Pridham welcomed piggles and Hans & Solo to their Slough, Berks home
Like a dog the pigs have a 15-year life span, so we are taking our responsibilities very seriously.
We first went to Kew Little Pigs just for a day out as it isn't far from where we lived, we heard about the pig-keeping courses and were heavily interested, I couldn't believe how easy it was for the whole thing to actually happen.
There are lots of rules to follow, but everyone is really helpful, they are just like any other pet.
When we moved into our house the retired previous owners had used the garden for allotment plots, but being busy and working we didn't really have time to keep up with it, and the pigs now have the perfect environment.
Social media advisor Demi Moore welcomed micro pig Mavis into her Ipswich home.
I wanted to adopt Mavis so that the people who meet me would see pigs in a different way.
I have always wanted to adopt a micro pig, but then we went to Kew Little Pigs as a birthday day out for my friend and it went from wanting to feeling like I really needed one!
I've always given the animals old fashioned names, names that feel like they are cute but on the verge of funny too.
I wanted to adopt her because when people meet her they will see a different side to pigs that they don't think about normally. They will see that pigs are no different to their dogs and cats, and maybe think about things a bit more.
NHS A&E nurse Jane Sudds from Blackpool had always wanted a pet pig, and during the pandemic lockdown she welcomed Wilbur into her life.
Kew Little Pigs have been brilliant, I had read horror stories about some places that sell standard piglets as micro pigs and lie about their ages, so I’m so glad I did my research and found Kew.
Adopting Wilbur has been wonderful, he’s like a dog, but more too!
“I joined the team in September of 2021 as a Farm Hand. This was my first proper job and the experience was very insightful as working with animals there is never a dull moment. I have always loved animals and have had many different animals growing up such as guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs and horses so I knew the animal industry was a career I would like to be involved in. Since joining Kew Little Pigs Farm I have had the opportunity to care for the animals and share my knowledge with all the customers that have visited the farm. I was promoted to Head Farm Hand in January 2023.
I look forward to my journey here at Kew Little Pigs Farm and hope to see you on the farm soon!”
