Joy as second pair of goats RETURN after being stolen five weeks ago

This week we are celebrating after a pair of goats stolen from them five weeks ago were found in a farmer’s field. 

A farmer got in touch with us after spotting Comet And Sunday in his field in Farnham at the weekend. 

After spotting the goats had been abandoned in his field, where he currently has pregnant sheep, the farmer mentioned the surprise during a visit to the pub.

A regular then informed him of the wide scale appeal that Kew Little Pigs had launched after four goats were snatched in November during a night-time break in. 

The week before Christmas the other two goats Rose and Blitzen were returned to the farm after a tip off following a huge media and social media appeal. 

A member of the public spotted them in a field in Farnham Royal and Olivia Mikhail, owner of Kew Little Pigs, headed down with her daughter Eva to safely transport them home. 

But there was no sign of Comet and Sunday, and as the weeks went by devastated Kew Little Pigs staff had all but lost hope that they would ever be returned. 

Olivia said: “We are over the moon, we have never given up hoping that the goats would come home, but as the weeks went by it seemed like the chances were more and more remote. 

“They are really skinny and tired so will be getting lost of rest, food and pampering, we have also had extra security cameras fitted so something like this won’t be happening again in a hurry. 

“The farmer called us on Monday to say the goats had appeared in his field, and that when he mentioned it in the pub he was told about the appeal. His name is Gabriel and he really is our angel. We couldn’t be more happy.” 

Following the traumatic burglary Kew Little Pigs launched an appeal to tighten security measures at the farm, and members of the public donated to help, as well as sharing the appeal far and wide. 

Olivia added: “We would like to thank every single person who shared the appeal or donated to our fund. It is down to you that the goats are back, and safe here with us. 

“These goats like all the animals here and members of the family, and not knowing where they are and thinking what may have happened has been unbearable. We can now really look forward to a bright 2025 knowing that all of our family is back together.”
