Jilly’s newborn piglets melt hearts as Kew Little Pigs launches magical festive season

There’s a new chorus of tiny squeaks at Kew Little Pigs, where Jilly the pig’s adorable litter has met their very first visitors, and the public has fallen completely in love.

The Old Amersham favourite has been buzzing with excitement as families gather around the straw-filled pen to greet the confident piglets, who trot straight over for snuggles as though they’ve been welcoming guests their whole lives.

Staff say the youngsters are thriving under Jilly’s calm, gentle care, and owner Olivia Mikhail admits the piglets have already taken centre stage on the farm. “People walk in and their faces just light up,” she said. “These little ones are so friendly and curious, and Jilly is such a brilliant mum. It’s been a real joy watching our visitors meet them for the first time.”

Their arrival comes at a perfect time, as the farm prepares for its much-loved Santa & The Pigs experience. Families booking visits over the festive period will not only enjoy time with the piglets and the rest of the herd, but also meet Santa himself, who will be handing out free gifts for children.

Tickets are priced at £20 per person, with a special family option available for £64 for two adults and two children aged three to sixteen, and with under-threes going free, it’s set to be one of the most affordable and charming Christmas outings in Buckinghamshire.

And with Black Friday just around the corner, Kew Little Pigs is also encouraging families to make the most of its week of special offers from 26 November to 1 December. Deals include half-price Family Piggy Pet & Play gift vouchers and big savings on adoption packs and pig-themed goodies, all ideal stocking fillers or affordable treats for animal lovers.

Between Jilly’s new brood, the chance to meet Santa, and a flurry of festive bargains, the award-winning attraction is shaping up to be one of the most magical places in the county this Christmas.

Millie - Head Farm Hand

“I joined the team in September of 2021 as a Farm Hand.  This was my first proper job and the experience was very insightful as working with animals there is never a dull moment. I have always loved animals and have had many different animals growing up such as guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs and horses so I knew the animal industry was a career I would like to be involved in. Since joining Kew Little Pigs Farm I have had the opportunity to care for the animals and share my knowledge with all the customers that have visited the farm. I was promoted to Head Farm Hand in January 2023.

I look forward to my journey here at Kew Little Pigs Farm and hope to see you on the farm soon!”
