Big pig little pig! Giant George the middle white shows just how tiny our little pigs really are!

We got the chance to go to the amazing Odds Farm recently, after they kindly offered to donate leftover pumpkins to the farm for animal feed!

While we were there we were thrilled to spot giant George (left) the middle white, who really is a sight to behold.

George’s sheer scale is astounding. He is ten feet long and waist high and he really does show just how tiny the pigs who live here at Kew Little Pigs really are.

He’s absolutely living his best life at Odds Farm, and wow! What an amazing specimen!

George’s scale compared to our Astrid really is without compare. Astrid weights around 3kg and is a foot long, and while she hasn’t finished growing yet, there is not way that she could ever dream of growing to George’s majestic scale.

In many ways this is also a cautionary tale. While George is perfect for farm life, and is every bit as friendly and loving as Astrid and our gang, there is no way that he could ever live in a home environment like our pet pigs can. Imagine George snuggling up with your on your two-seater sofa!

All pigs are wonderful, but when you are thinking about welcoming a miniature pig into your heart and home, make sure to do your research and pick a reputable breeder like Kew Little Pigs. Before you commit you can also take part in our pig keeping course. Find out more at: https://kewlittlepigs.com/collections/experiences/products/comprehensive-guide-to-pig-keeping-course

Millie - Head Farm Hand

“I joined the team in September of 2021 as a Farm Hand.  This was my first proper job and the experience was very insightful as working with animals there is never a dull moment. I have always loved animals and have had many different animals growing up such as guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs and horses so I knew the animal industry was a career I would like to be involved in. Since joining Kew Little Pigs Farm I have had the opportunity to care for the animals and share my knowledge with all the customers that have visited the farm. I was promoted to Head Farm Hand in January 2023.

I look forward to my journey here at Kew Little Pigs Farm and hope to see you on the farm soon!”
